Angela Hamilton-Jones is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Associate. She completed her social work undergraduate work at Johnson C. Smith University, a Business Administration undergraduate degree at Montreat College, and received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of New England.
Angela provides professional mental health services for children, adolescents, and adults in the individual and family setting. Angela has years of experience serving populations including pregnant and parenting women, families, and the geriatric population. She utilizes rapport building with clients with a focus on building a positive and healthy life style. Angela works with individuals who experience depression, anxiety, ADHD, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, and adjustment issues. She practices from a person centered, Rogerian approach and utilzied Cognitive Behavioral Therapy interventions, solution focused brief treatment interventions, Motivational Interviewing, narrative therapy, and play therapy techniques. Angela’s positive, person centered orientation to counseling supports a client’s exploration and processing of life experiences.
