Family Centered Treatment is an evidence based in-home model which utilizes family systems theory to support families who have experienced family dysfunction. Our goal is to maintain children in their homes or reunite children who have experienced out of home placement.
A Family Centered Treatment (FCT) practitioner has an active case load of 4-6 families at a time. We meet with families multiple times a week in their homes or via telehealth providing FCT sessions. In order to best serve families, we schedule sessions at times that are best for the family – afternoons, evenings, weekends. FCT Clinicians are on-call for families in order to best meet their needs. FCT Clinicians partner closely with Social Workers and any other members of the Child and Family Team.
To become credentialed in FCT, clinicians will complete a 40-hour on-line course and pass fidelity markers in each of the 4 phases of FCT treatment. Clinicians serve families while going through the credentialing process. Additional training is provided specific to substance use and addiction treatment.
