Amanda Johnston  MSW, LCSWA 

Amanda is primarily an out-patient school-based clinician. Amanda is licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate in the state of North Carolina through the North Carolina Social Work Certification and Licensure Board (NCSWCLB). As a social worker Amanda, abides by the ethical codes provided by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the North Carolina Social Work Certification Board (NCSWCLB).  Amanda received her Bachelor’s of Social Work with Honor’s from Limestone College in Gaffney, SC in 2018.  In 2023 Amanda, received her Master’s of Social Work from Walden University in Minneapolis, MN.

 

After completion of her BSW, Amanda gained experience in working with children, adolescents, and their families who experienced substance use and mental health concerns and who were at risk of abuse and/or neglect. Amanda is dedicated to building rapport, empathy, and respect within the client/clinician relationship. Amanda utilizes a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy when working with clients and looks forward to helping you throughout this journey of self-care and wellness.
