Betsy graduated from Appalachian State University with a BS in Psychology in 2003, and earned her M.A. and Ed.S in Mental Health Counseling from Gardner Webb University in 2015. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate through the North Carolina Board of Licensed Professional Counselors, and holds certification as a National Certified Counselor. Prior to becoming an outpatient therapist, Betsy spent over 12 years providing community and school-based mental health services to children, adolescents, adults, and families. She currently provides person-centered, strengths-based mental health counseling using cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused techniques. Betsy provides empathy, respect, and acceptance to individuals from all backgrounds.
