Is PCH in "Network"?

We are "in Network" with several insurance panels to help make mental health services more affordable for our clients. See our list below of insurance providers that we accept.

PCH clinicians are credentialed/empaneled with various pay sources:

  • Medicaid (Shelby and Forest City only)
  • Medicare
  • North Carolina Health Choice
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Aetna
  • Cigna
  • Medcost
  • CBHA
  • Tricare/ChampVA
  • Other third party payers
  • Self Pay


NOTE: Clients must provide insurance information prior to appointment. Once insurance is verified, clients are provided with the estimated copayment as provided to us by the insurance company. Copayments are required at the time of service. Clients are responsible for all fees incurred regardless of insurance coverage.

What are my mental health benefits?

Before your first session, please take the time to click on your insurance provider above to go directly to their website.  Once on the website, review your OUTPATIENT IN THE OFFICE MENTAL HEALTH BENEFITS.  You can also call the customer service number on the back of your card if you are having trouble finding the information online.


Finding the answers to the following questions up front will help you know what payment will be needed prior to your session:


1. Do I have a deductible?  If so, how much is it?  You will be responsible for paying in full until the deductible is met.

2. Do I have a co-payment and / or co-insurance?  What is it?

3. Is there a visit limit or maximum for mental health services?

Cost of Services

At PCH keeping costs to a minimum is a priority in these economic conditions and our clients may possibly feel additional financial burdens.  Our staff are members offer many provider panels to allow all our clients to receive assistance from their health insurance benefits.  We accept Medicaid and have agreed to their payment assignments.  


When you call PCH to schedule an initial appointment, our staff will obtain the information needed to verify your plan and co-payment amounts.  We will then inform you of the exact amount you will need to pay for your visits.


DO YOU ACCEPT CASH PAYMENTS IF I DON'T HAVE COVERAGE?

If you do not have Medicaid or other insurance coverage, we will see you on a cash basis.  We offer discounted fees for cash accounts. If you do not have insurance coverage and cannot afford the cash account fees, we will try to assist you in finding services which are government supported, so that you can get needed treatment.


BASIC SERVICE COSTS
Fees will vary based on:
- types of services rendered
- third party contracted rates
- treatment program selected


A sliding fee scale may be used if clients qualify.
Appropriate forms of payment are Cash, Check, Credit or Debit Card (Visa/MasterCard).
There is a $25 Returned Check Fee.
